i just realized the last time i updated my xanga was when i first arrivied in singapore - when i hated almost everything about the place. things got better eventually and now i'm actually missing it, not so much about the city but the ppl i met. there aren't as many young ppl in the hk office to hang out with, plus with family here it makes it a little more difficult to hang out with other ppl all the time. i do miss the expat life, with free housing on orchard road (though it's not the best place ever, the location is impeccable), US$100 meal allowance per day, claimable taxi and laundry expenses and .... most of all, i miss getting out of office early. now i have to get used to the hk worklife all over again.

usually at the end of each year i will do a lill recap for myself on what i've done in the past year. for some reason i totally forgot to do it this year... maybe because there're too many things going on, too many things to deal with that i have no time and energy for recap. but to put it in very simple words, i think 2006 was a very good year and it's definitely a year to remember. i found a job (finally), travelled extensively (hawaii, italy, bahamas, cornell, arizona, ny, tokyo, shanghai, singapore, taiwan and ... hk), graduated from college, started working .... i still miss chicago a lot and wonder when i can fully escape from the whole college mentality. maybe it's time to move on...

i wish everyone a fruitful year of 2007!!

life has been pretty mundane recently. what else is there to do besides eating, shopping and clubbing? i've never felt this bored when i was in chicago.... maybe becoz there're always ppl around to hang out with. i miss the days sitting at home watching project runway and america's next top model's marathon; the days when we randomly drive out to buy my favorite mcnuggets/ bubble tea; the days when mel takes out the trash and lu and i hold the door; the days when lu/i cook and mel complains about too much oil; the days before finals when i go crazy running around the apt and screaming all the way; the days when i bake pizza bagels at midnite and try to make everyone fat (and yes, i was successful! waahahahaha).

yeah... those were the days....
